AC Gas Top-Up / Refill

If your AC is running but not cooling properly, low refrigerant is one of the most common causes. AC gas does not simply run out over time — a low level usually means there is a leak somewhere in the system. Simply topping up without finding the leak means you will be back in the same situation within weeks.
What's included:
- System pressure check to confirm low refrigerant
- Leak detection using electronic sensors and soap bubble testing
- Leak repair if accessible (pipe joints, flare connections, valve cores)
- Full system vacuum to remove moisture and contaminants
- Refrigerant recharge with R410A or R22 (depending on your system)
- Cooling performance test before and after
- Temperature differential measurement at all vents
- Compressor amp draw check to verify safe operating range
Signs your AC needs a gas refill: unit runs continuously but the room stays warm, ice forming on the copper pipe or evaporator coil, hissing or bubbling sounds near the indoor unit, or a sudden drop in cooling after previously working fine.
The process takes about 1-2 hours per unit. Our technicians carry R410A and R22 refrigerant on every call, so most jobs are completed in a single visit.
Important: if your system is older and uses R22 refrigerant (being phased out globally), we can advise on whether a refill or a unit upgrade makes more sense long-term.
